CrashGuard vs. PlayProof: Which is better? January 03 2016, 0 Comments

Since Playproof was released, we have received this question so many times. Hopefully you will find the answer here!

"Bumper or case? Which one is the right one for me?"

We can tell you honestly, it's like choosing between two awesome pizzas; how can we choose?

For some iPhone lovers, the sleek design of the phone and the slenderness is what they love the most about their mobile; it is a almost a crime to cover its original design. Covering up the phone is almost comparable to wearing a sweater to the beach, yet failing to give the device a protective casing leaves us feeling uneasy about accidental drops and scratches.

Having a bumper compromises to both;  bumper cases are a great way to keep your iPhone as slim as the designers has intent it to be while keeping it protected from the bumps and knocks.  In fact, our RhinoShield CrashGuard will protect your iPhone from 11 feet drop that most tough cases can’t compare.  CrashGuard is lightweight, ultra thin, exceptionally tough and is perfect to show off your iPhone’s beautiful back especially if you have the color Gold or Rose Gold as your iPhone.

For others, a full back casing is more of their style.  RhinoShield PlayProof allows you to be able to enjoy the same 11 feet impact protection as CrashGuard with its slimness and maintain the minimal look.  The bumper only fits around the edge of the phone so you can switch between bumpers easily, with a PlayProof, you can change into different designs whether it's for an occasion or just to match your outfit.  Something to also keep in mind is that, a full case covers the entire phone besides the screen so it is a better choice if you are in a heavy duty environment.

So which one is better you ask?  We made a comparison below, and let you be the judge of that.

As you can tell from the picture, CrashGuard has slightly bigger buttons, but PlayProof has better tactile feedback (sticks out a little more.)  The size are very close, both under 2mm, but with the case being more oval around the edges.

The cutout ports are also very close when it comes to size, but PlayProof is slightly larger at the charging port.  Many Rhino fans ask us, what about the headphone hole?  Both can fit third party chargers with ease, but PlayProof is slightly more curved in (very tiny difference).

So can you choose between these two awesome products?  Neither can we. Tell us which one is your favorite!  We love to hear from our Rhino Fans!
